Admire The Beauty Of Lord Krishna At ISKCON Temple

Many people believe, visiting a temple gives you peace of mind and makes you feel relaxed and happy. For a few problems there is nothing to do with, just visit a temple and have some peaceful time. So, here among many temples in Hyderabad, ISKCON is one of the most famous temples, where Lord Krishna is being worshipped by people across Hyderabad.

To capture the beauty of ISKCON, one should reach the middle of Nampally. This is where the temple is located in Hyderabad.

Also, the temple is famous for the idols of deity Shri Jagannatha Baladeva- Subhadra, Sri Gauri Nitai, and along with Sri Radha-Mohana. The devotees believe that whoever visits the temple can hear the hymn “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” saying all over the temple.

The temple is surrounded by water fountains, plenty of plants and trees, marble sculptures of Lord Krishna. Also, the temple conducts special yoga sessions twice or thrice a month. They also give lectures on personal health care.

History Behind The ISKCON

The great ISKCON temple is also known as the International Society For Krishna Consciousness(ISKCON). In the devotion of Lord Krishna, ISKCON was started. The temple aims to teach the importance of one’s life and the greatness of spirituality.

In the 15 century, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who resembles Lord Krishna, got the idea of ISKCON. He wanted to start ISKCON to spread the greatness and awareness of Krishna among people. Firstly, he started with West Bengal and Orissa by implementing the Sankirtan, where he invited people of various castes to worship Lord Krishna.

Then in late 1969, Swami Prabhupada brought the idea among people in the west of NewYork. This all happened when he gained support from international people learning about the greatness of Lord Krishna.

Later after gaining support from international, the ideology was brought to various countries including India. In 54 years, a total of 600 ISKCON centers have been developed including educational centers and studies.

Coming to pooja's and harathis’s, every day they are performed but special yagnam’s, pooja and other events are only performed on Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Sri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated on the occasion of Lord Krishna's birth.
